Duda: Poland intends to spend $33bn on defence in 2024
In 2024, Poland intends to spend $33bn on defence – as noted by President Andrzej Duda, RIA Novosti reports
"Next year we plan to spend 137bn Zlotys [$33bn] on the country's defence. This sum – which impresses the whole world – is more than 4 percent of our GDP," Mr. Duda said, adding that ‘a Polish soldier should be well armed so that he does not have to fight’.
According to the Polish leader, large military expenditures make it possible to dynamically modernise the country’s army in many sectors simultaneously.
