Dubai airport returned to normal operation after record heavy rains
Dubai International Airport, disrupted by record-breaking heavy rains in the UAE, is back to normal operation. All three terminals serve passengers as usual, TASS reports.
Planes arrive at the airport and depart according to the schedule, except for some international flights that were cancelled or delayed.
Airport staff said that the operational activities of one of the world's largest transport hubs were fully restored on April 20th. However, airport services are still working to address the consequences of the collapse that occurred on April 16th. In particular, Emirates airline informed that some of its customers who arrived in Dubai were unable to retrieve their luggage, so the carrier organised the reclaiming of lost luggage in a special area operating 24 hours a day in the third terminal building.
