DPRK said Japan is preparing for aggressive war and new invasion into Korea
Modernisation of the Japanese self-defence forces is aimed at aggressive war and preparations for an invasion into the Korean peninsula, RIA Novosti reports with reference the DPRK Central Telegraph Agency
In early October, the Japanese Defence Minister said that Tokyo would accelerate the equipping of its self-defence forces with US-made Tomahawk missiles by a year. Japan also plans to put them into service in 2025.
The North Korean agency reported in this regard, “Military spending (which annually breaks a record), arming with offensive ultra-modern military equipment, including an aircraft carrier and the latest stealth fighters, and completing military operational training in the fields of space, cyberspace, electromagnetic waves are aimed at preparing for aggressive warfare."
The source added that the joint military exercises of the United States, Japan and South Korea focus on ‘practicing a re-invasion’ into the Korean peninsula.
