Details of Lukashenko’s meeting with Aliyev in St. Petersburg
The details of the meeting between the presidents of Belarus and Azerbaijan, Aleksandr Lukashenko and Ilham Aliyev, that took place in St. Petersburg were revealed by the Belarusian leader’s press service, BelTA reports
The heads of state discussed the upcoming visit of the President of Belarus to Azerbaijan.
As far as the economy is concerned, the two sides agreed that responsible persons from the intergovernmental commission and the governments of the two countries will develop a plan of joint work for the coming years, including joint co-operation projects in industry, agriculture, construction and the military-industrial complex.
The Azerbaijani President confirmed Belarus’ proposal to take part in the modernisation and construction of infrastructure facilities in Karabakh.
Of course, the international agenda was also discussed, with the Azerbaijani leader informing his Belarusian colleague in detail about the situation in the Caucasus.
