Deputy Sports and Tourism Minister: business tourism in Belarus boasts huge potential for growth
Business tourism in Belarus has a huge potential for growth – as noted by Deputy Sports and Tourism Minister Oleg Andreichik in his talk with the Belarus 1 TV channel
In particular, he noted that business tourism is now actively developing, “The potential is huge. What is needed for development? Organisational initiative and the availability of a material and technical base are important. In 2025, in particular, it is planned to put into operation a large national exhibition centre which will contribute to the development of the MICE direction,” the Deputy Sports and Tourism Minister emphasised.
He recalled that today zones for holding business events are envisaged in hotel complexes, they enjoy popularity both among domestic and foreign conference organisers.
“I believe that the potential for growth in the sphere is huge. There are conditions for development, and we will receive more dividends than from classical tourism,” Oleg Andreichik shared his opinion.
This view is based on world statistics, which is confirmed by our observations: one business guest, as a rule, spends 3-4 times more than an ordinary tourist.
“Therefore, alongside a business programme, we are working to offer, among other things, travel services for foreign guests, so that they have a choice how to spend their free time usefully,” the official added.
