Deputy Head of Belarus President Administration: Internet will never be free and independent again

Belarus is ready for any unfriendly manifestations from the outside in its information field – as noted by Deputy Head of the Belarus President Administration Vladimir Pertsov in his talk with the Belarus 1 TV channel

“We are ready for any unfriendly manifestations. We can’t even guess what our opponents are up to; we are well aware that they have digital capabilities and the Internet in their hands. The largest platforms – such as Meta, Google with all their social networks and video hosting – also belong to them. Meanwhile, realising this, we take concrete measures and think over some retaliatory steps to their unfriendly and aggressive actions. You see what’s happening with YouTube in Russia now, you see the pressure coming from European countries, primarily France, on the only seemingly independent Telegram platform. We understand that the Internet will never be so free and independent again. Therefore, we need to prepare,” Vladimir Pertsov underlined.
