A delegation of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, headed by Deputy Head Chen Zhou, visited the China-Belarus Great Stone Industrial Park
The Great Stone Industrial Park is the largest Belarus-China joint project, designed to last for decades. It is being built in a strategically unique location – the geographical centre of Europe – and is a key element of the Silk Road Economic Belt.
Aleksandr Yaroshenko, the Head of the Administration of the Industrial Park, underlined in his talk with journalists that the Great Stone project is positioned in China as the pearl of the Silk Road.
“The Belt and Road Initiative is very significant for us. Our country is integrated into this political and economic process, and we also plan to become members of the SCO. All-weather strategic partnerships have been built between our countries. As we often call ourselves, we are iron brothers,” the official stressed, adding that, “This is worth a lot to us. The visit of such a delegation is a significant event for us, including for the development of the park.”
According to him, there are currently 132 residents registered in the Great Stone Park.
“This is an international pool of residents from 14 countries though the basis is made up of projects from the People’s Republic of China, there are 59 of them. 49 projects – this is also very important – come from Belarus. Our business is trying to actively integrate into technological interaction with our Chinese partners,” Aleksandr Yaroshenko concluded.
