Defence Ministry: joint regional forces command exercise taking place in Minsk

In order to improve the Union State’s defence capabilities, a joint regional forces command exercise is taking place in Minsk, sb.by reports citing the Defence Ministry’s Telegram channel

The exercise’s focus is on making a decision to use the regional forces to ensure military security of the Union State.

“On January 14th-16th, at stationary command centres, representatives of Belarusian and Russian armed forces will train one of the options for the joint use of regional forces,” the Defence Ministry informed, adding that the exercise has been planned as part of the preparations for Zapad-2025 strategic military exercises scheduled to take place in Belarus in 2025.
