Defence Ministry: Belarusian military heading to Kazakhstan to take part in Indestructible Brotherhood 2024 exercises
Servicemen of the peacekeeping company of the 103rd Vitebsk Separate Guards Airborne Brigade of the Special Operations Forces of Belarus’ Armed Forces – one of the OMON (a special purpose police detachment) units of Belarus’ Interior Ministry — are heading to Kazakhstan to take part in the Indestructible Brotherhood 2024 command and staff exercises with the CSTO peacekeeping forces, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian Defence Ministry’s press service
It is known that the manoeuvres will take place at the Bereg training ground in the Almaty Region and will become the final stage of a complex of joint exercises conducted by the CSTO this year.
“During the military drills, it is planned to work out issues of preparation and conduct of a peacekeeping operation by the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces. The Belarusian peacekeeping contingent is headed by Deputy Commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces, Colonel Aleksei Yelfimov,” the Belarusian defence department noted.
