Belarusian air defence troops will take part in exercises in Russia, sb.by reports with reference to the Defence Ministry
The military personnel of one of the military units of the air defence forces are engaged into the loading of machinery on railway trains. The personnel of the military unit will take part in live firing exercises on the territory of Russia.
Mikhail Matrosov, the Deputy Commander of the Air Force and Air Defence Forces, commented, “In August, according to the training plan of the air force and air defence forces, operational and tactical exercises with combat shooting troops will be conducted on the territory of Russia. The scheduled activities will make it possible to increase the level of co-ordination of units and also to practice new tactical techniques and methods of conducting both anti-aircraft and aerial combat. In total, about 4,000 military personnel and 150 pieces of equipment are taking part in the exercises. Currently, some units are being loaded onto military echelons for departure to Russia. The Ashuluk training ground will host major activities. It is planned to carry out combat training missions with anti-aircraft missile forces, radio engineering troops, and fighter aircraft.”
