Defence attaché of South Africa to Russia: African representatives’ visit to Belarus is a good opportunity to build contacts
Defence attachés from fourteen African states arrived in Minsk to get acquainted with Belarus’ capabilities, and the delegation’s working visit opened with a briefing at the Central House of Officers dedicated to International Military Co-operation and the Military-Political Situation along the Borders of Belarus
“We have received an invitation from the Defence Ministry of the Republic of Belarus to visit your country in order to get acquainted with its capabilities and potential,” said Brigadier General Vuyisile Sibaca, the Defence Attaché of the Republic of South Africa. “This is an excellent opportunity to build contacts and interaction for representatives of the African region. As a representative of South Africa, I would like to note that we’re keen to liaise in IT. We also know that the agricultural sector of the economy is very developed in Belarus, and mass production of tractors has been established. We hope for further development of co-operation in these areas.”
As part of a working visit, defence attachés from 14 African countries will visit military educational institutions, where they will see the level, system and new methods of military education, and attend enterprises of the military-industrial complex, as well as giants of the industrial sector of the economy: MAZ, BELAZ.
