Danilovich: distortion of historical memory and loss of communication between generations leads to degradation of society
Our society is evolving and changing. This is an inevitable process, but it is very important to preserve historical memory. In today’s most difficult geopolitical conditions, when attempts to falsify the historical past do not stop, there are fewer and fewer participants of those distant military events – as noted by Candidate of Historical Sciences Vyacheslav Danilovich, the Rector of the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus.
“It is vitally important for us to preserve the memory of the heroism and dedication of our victorious ancestors for our descendants. The distortion of historical memory and the loss of communication between generations leads to the degradation of society. This can only be resisted by building an integral system of patriotic education, so that young people and the population as a whole know the history of their nation and are proud of it. As our President noted, in the matter of patriotic education, a personal example of sincere love for the native land, concrete deeds for the good of the country, pride in the national achievements, respect for the historical heritage, traditions and values of our ancestors are extremely important,” Vyacheslav Danilovich is confident.
