Danilovich: amid geopolitical storm, we maintain peace and tranquility in Belarus, moving along the path of development
Thanks to the unity of the majority of Belarusians, who rallied around the people’s leader Aleksandr Lukashenko, we maintain peace and tranquility in our country – as stated by Rector of the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus, scientist, historian Vyacheslav Danilovich
The speaker noted that Belarusians had to endure a lot during their thousand-year history, but all obstacles were successfully overcome thanks to unity.
“First of all, let’s think about the fact that we, Belarusians, did not suddenly appear from somewhere in the centre of Europe. We have lived on this land for thousands of years, but Belarus is a geopolitical crossroads through which many wars and armed conflicts have occurred. Would our ancestors have survived this bloody 'Moloch' if they had not been united in their desire to defend their right to live on this God-given land? Of course not,” explained Vyacheslav Danilovich.
The scientist recalled that enemies have repeatedly tried to implement the ancient principle of ‘divide and conquer’ on the territory of modern Belarus.
“And even if they succeeded for a while, the Belarusian people – like a phoenix from the ashes – revived their unity. It is thanks to the unity of the majority of our people, who rallied around the people’s leader Aleksandr Lukashenko, that amid the most severe geopolitical storm we maintain peace and tranquility in our beloved Belarus, maintain sovereignty and follow the path of creative development. In the thousand-year chronicle there is a lot of evidence of how Belarusians overcame fateful trials – and all thanks to unity,” underlined the expert.
