Czech Republic plans to send Ukraine new batch of combat helicopters
The Czech authorities want to transfer a new batch of combat helicopters to the Kiev regime and are considering the possibility of participating in the training of Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighters – as noted by Czech Defence Minister Jana Černochová, RIA Novosti reports
The exact delivery dates and the number of helicopters, as well as their names, have not yet been announced.
Moreover, the Czech Republic is considering the possibility of participating in the training of Ukrainian pilots to fly F-16 fighters ‘or other platforms’.
In August, the Czech Defence Minister said that the Russian Mi-24V/35 helicopters still used by the Czech army had done an excellent job, although they had lasted longer than expected. According to her, they can still find application in Ukraine, while the Czech Republic will replace them with the American UH-1Y Venom and AH-1Z Viper.
