Czech government allowed 150+ mercenaries to go to Ukraine
Czech TV reported that more than 150 mercenaries from the country, who act on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, had received permission from the state authorities to participate in the conflict in Ukraine, and their number may increase in the future, since the approval process is expected to be made more flexible, RIA Novosti reports
According to source, some Czechs have been fighting ‘side by side with Ukrainian soldiers’ for two years. About 150 people have received permission to join the ‘defenders’ from the country's President, Petr Pavel, and his predecessor (ex-leader) Milos Zeman.
In the future, the number of Czechs fighting for Ukraine ‘may increase’. The Czech government, in co-operation with the ministries, wants to amend the approval process, ‘making it more flexible’.
