It is noted that the parties discussed topical issues of developing the CSTO military component and improving its power potential.

Imangali Tasmagambetov informed Sergei Shoigu about the results of his recent visit to Minsk, where during a meeting with the Chairman of the Collective Security Council, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko, an action plan was approved to implement the decisions of the November (2022) session of the CSTO Collective Security Council and to implement the CSTO’s priority areas activity during Belarus’ chairmanship, which includes a large section on the development of liaisons in the military and military-technical sphere.

“Belarusian priorities are aimed at increasing the readiness of the components of the CSTO Collective Forces to fulfil their intended tasks and strengthening military-technical interaction between the CSTO member states. They are fully consistent with the emerging military-political situation and reflect the most relevant and promising areas for the development of the CSTO military component,” the organisation’s Secretary General underlined.
