Concern in the field of microelectronics planned for creation in Belarus

Belarus plans to create a concern that will unite developers and manufacturers in the field of microelectronics – as informed by Vladimir Gusakov, the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences, while commenting on his meeting with the President. In general, Aleksandr Lukashenko supported the scientists’ initiative.

“We propose to establish a major association in the field of microelectronics in the country, to unite all manufacturers and developers not only of the Academy of Sciences, but also of the Industry Ministry, as well as other ministries and departments – so that we can solve this problem in a complex, ranging from production of chips to digital twins and creation of electronic systems for industries,” Mr. Gusakov said.

The NAS Chairman added the new organisation is proposed to be created in the form of a concern headed by Integral or the Academy of Sciences. The President instructed to think over various options.
