China’s nuclear corporation expanded investment budget for 2024 by almost $17bn
In 2024, China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) – one of the two leading companies in the PRC in the field of nuclear energy – decided to increase its investment budget, TASS reports
According to the Shanghai business resource Yicai Global, in 2024, CNNC will earmark 121.6bn Yuan ($16.9bn) for investment – 52 percent up compared to last year. These additional funds will be used to finance energy-related projects, including the construction of nuclear power plants.
At the same time, China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN) will maintain the planned investment volume at the 2023 level, totalling 60bn Yuan (about $8.3bn). These funds will be used to develop new energy sources.
