China discovered large oil field in Bohai Sea
China National Offshore Oil Corporation has discovered a large oil field in the Bohai Sea: its reserves amount to 100m tonnes of crude oil, RIA Novosti reports
The Bozhong 26-6 oil field is expected to produce about 2,040 barrels of crude oil and 320 thousand cubic metres of gas daily.
According to China Central Television, the oil field was discovered in the southern part of the Bohai Sea, about 170km from Tianjin. The average water depth above the deposit is about 22.1 metres.
