As reported by the BSTU press service, Rector Igor Voitov acquainted the guest with the new directions of the university's development in the field of personnel training and plans to open new specialties. He also presented the scientific developments of university scientists, which are the most promising for implementation together with Emirati partners. Mr. Voitov appealed to the diplomat with a request to assist in establishing partnerships with UAE educational institutions.
In turn, Ibrahim Salim Mohammed al-Musharrah noted the importance of co-operation between the two countries in the field of education. He especially appreciated the fact that BSTU trains engineering personnel in a number of specialties that are scarce or absent in the UAE.
"Training in such areas as green economy and chemistry, renewable energy sources, environmental engineering, forestry, and afforestation is of particular interest to the Emirati side," the press service noted. “Co-operation in the field of climate change and environmentally friendly technologies has great potential.”
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to strengthen liaisons in the field of finding partners for the implementation of educational, scientific, technical and innovative projects.
