BSTU, Harbin Huade University outlined areas for future co-operation

The issues of co-operation between the Belarusian State Technological University (BSTU) and Harbin Huade University were discussed in Minsk by representatives of Belarusian and Chinese universities, sb.by reports with reference to the press service of BSTU

“The delegation of Harbin Huade University, headed by Rector Li Changwei, visited the Belarusian State Technological University. Rector of BSTU Igor Voitov held talks with the Chinese delegation on promising areas of co-operation in education and science. On the Belarusian side, First Vice-Rector Andrei Sakovich, Head of the International Co-operation Department Olga Rogova and Head of the Department for Work with Foreign Citizens Yelena Yanukovich took part in the negotiations,” the press service informed.

The issues of training undergraduates and postgraduates, as well as joint educational programmes for undergraduates, were discussed. The Chinese side has shown interest in the academic exchange of teachers, including for reading Russian language courses.

“A decision has been made to work out programmes and sign a framework agreement on co-operation between universities,” the press service noted.

Currently, BSTU co-operates with more than 20 educational, scientific, and other organisations of the People's Republic of China. Among them are Guangdong Union for Scientific and Technical Co-operation with the CIS countries, Zhongkai University of Agriculture and Engineering, the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), Tianjin Foreign Studies University, Zhaoqing University, Yunfu College of Technology, Tieling Normal College, Luoyang Polytechnic, Henan Xingyu Education Technology Co., Ltd., Educational Training Centre of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Guangdong Industry Polytechnic, Shangrao Vocational Institute, Dalian Polytechnic University, etc.
