British tourists fined in Poland for making photos on border with Russia
Polish border guards have fined two tourists from the UK for selfies that were taken on the border with the Kaliningrad Region of Russia, TASS reports
The Polish Border Guard Service reported, “British citizens were fined 100 Zlotys [about $25]) for photographing the neighbouring side.”
According to the source, the incident was recorded by cameras in the area of Sępopol in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. As a result, Polish border guards stopped the Brits and fined them.
It is noted that the fine was imposed on the basis of the decree of the Warmian-Masurian Voivode of 2009, which prohibits taking photographs in the area of the Polish-Russian border.
