As TV host Olga Korshun noted, today the West is trying in every possible way to cut the connection between Belarus and Russia. In this regard, the former CSTO Secretary General was asked at what level Minsk-Moscow relations are nowadays and what should the allies do next, how to strengthen interaction, including military.

“We need to strengthen integration, real integration. The programmes that State Secretary of the Union State Dmitry Mezentsev spoke about at the high-level conference are designed to integrate our economies. We must link our economies into one. No one has cancelled the sovereignty of the countries, it should exist; but the economic, social and security components must be integrated into one whole, preventing our former friends from separating us,” answered Nikolai Bordyuzha.

According to him, such attempts have already been made by other states.

“I think that starting in 1992, as soon as the USSR collapsed and new sovereign states emerged, the main task of all intelligence services of both the United States and Europe was the separation of the former USSR republics. And they worked in Central Asia. We also had good relations with Ukraine, but they deteriorated. And they also did everything to spoil the relations between Belarus and Russia. Thanks primarily to the wisdom of our leaders, this was not possible. I believe that a monument should be erected to Aleksandr Lukashenko because he did everything to prevent our countries from being separated,” the speaker underlined.
