Belgium refused to supply old armoured vehicles to Ukraine
Belgium has accepted the largest military aid plan for Ukraine in eleven months – worth €92m – but refused to supply armoured vehicles to Kiev because of the high cost, TASS reports
Brussels decided to supply vehicles, man-portable anti-aircraft systems, anti-tank grenade launchers and assault rifles to Kiev, but the idea of transferring decommissioned heavy armoured vehicles to Ukraine, which have already been partially sold to private companies and need to be bought back, restored and modernised, was rejected due to excessively high costs.
