BelAZ to introduce 40+ units of latest equipment in 2023
This year, BelAZ will introduce 45 units of the latest equipment that will be used to create high-tech goods – as reported on the company’s official website
It is reported that BelAZ is actively investing in the modernisation, technical re-equipment and reconstruction of production lines and machine tools. In particular, in early 2023, a new automatic galvanising line was introduced at the plant.
“Thanks to it, processing productivity will increase and the corrosion resistance of parts will increase by almost a third,” the company noted.
BelAZ called the reconstruction of the main conveyor shop with the redistribution of industrial sites and capacities as another important project for 2023.
“After a phased restructuring, 90-tonne heavy-duty dump trucks will also be mass-produced here, along with mining dump trucks with a low payload capacity of 30 to 55 tonnes,” the enterprise said.
Since 2020, as reported on the plant’s website, BelAZ has introduced 14 units of high-tech equipment, including a painting and drying chamber for the press shop, a four-roll bending machine, a vertical lathe for the hydraulic transmission shop, and a mobile 3D scanning complex for the design service.
In total, under the programme of a large-scale investment project for 2020-2025 with an investment of Br415m, BelAZ plans to purchase and upgrade 140 pieces of equipment.
“On the basis of the production of super-heavy machines, capacities will be established for the manufacture of promising quarry equipment. The workshop of programme machines, the material and technical base of the A.N. Yegorov Scientific and Technical Centre are waiting for modernisation, alongside the painting, tool-stamp and welding production facilities,” the company added.
