Belarusian science impresses
Belarus’ science enjoys a very high level of its development – as stated by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Belarus, Boris Gryzlov, after visiting the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences’ permanent exhibition of achievements
“The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is a well-known talent foundry. It represents an advanced level of science and technology as applied areas are also being developed here,” Mr. Gryzlov noted. “If we work together to develop important areas, then the effect will not simply double but grow exponentially. A new interesting topic was born on April 12th, during President Lukashenko’s visit to the Vostochny Cosmodrome: a Belarusian cosmonaut’s flight (with the country’s scientific programme) on board of a Russian spaceship is planned for 2023. We have twenty-eight integration programmes within the Union State, and almost every one of them should have scientific support. They are progressing successfully in line with the schedule.”
The Russian diplomat met with the Chairman of the National Academy of Sciences’ Presidium, Vladimir Gusakov, and other scientists to discuss the issues of interaction with Russian research institutions – such as the Kurchatov Institute Research Centre which conducts research in nuclear physics, materials science and other areas.
