Belarusian nuclear workers trained at Rosenergoatom’s training centres and stations
In 2024, more than 1,200 foreign nuclear workers were trained and upgraded their qualifications in Russian training centres and at local nuclear power plants, Belarusians among them, sb.by reports citing Rosatom’s press service
Foreign specialists also included nuclear engineers from Egypt, Hungary, Turkiye, Bangladesh and China. It was noted that some of them have completed their ‘in-service training’, while others will continue their training next year. Rosenergoatom is also organising internships for students from Belarus, who will work at the Belarusian nuclear power plant (BelNPP) after completing their training. Theoretical training, simulator training, and internships at operating and under-construction NPPs will help them safely and efficiently operate VVER-1200 power units.
“We have all the necessary technical training facilities, highly qualified instructors, training and methodological base and the ability to conduct training at operating power units. The combination of theory and practice makes it possible to achieve a high level of competence of the trained personnel,” said Alexander Vysochin, who heads the Foreign NPP Personnel Training Directorate in the Personnel Training Department of Rosenergoatom Concern.
