Belarusian enterprises increasing direct supplies to foreign markets
Belarusian enterprises and companies presented their products at the Gulfood 2024 International Food and Beverage Exhibition in Dubai (UAE), and the Belarus. The Taste of Nature exposition occupied a central place there
“Belarus. The Taste of Nature at Gulfood 2024 generated more than 4,000 business meetings and negotiations between representatives of Belarusian enterprises and foreign business partners. It covered 132 square metres to exhibit domestic brands and attracted over 130,000 visitors from 195 countries,” the Belinterexpo exhibition company of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry told sb.by.
The products of Belarusian manufacturers enjoy great demand among foreign consumers, including in the Persian Gulf countries, and that was evidenced by a great interest in the Belarusian brands, as well as the export potential of B2B meetings.
“For example, Minsk Dairy Plant No. 1 held negotiations with focus on an increase in the volume of direct sales and frequency of shipments. The company outlined prospects for the supply of its products with Syria, agreements were reached on co-operation with Lebanon, and interaction with an Emirati company for the supply of products to the markets of the UAE and Saudi Arabia was co-ordinated. In addition, foreign partners demonstrated special interest in butter, sterilised milk, skimmed milk powder, and whey powder,” the source said.
In turn, representatives of Lidakhleboprodukt JSC held talks with a number of partners from large wholesale and distribution companies, as well as bakeries from the UAE and a number of republics, including India, Cuba, and Mauritius. Wheat and rye flour, pasta and wheat bran were of particular interest to foreign companies.
“Serious interest and demand for Belarusian goods at the Gulfood 2024 exhibition allow us to confirm the high quality of our products. Within the framework of the international forum, Belarusian manufacturers expanded their co-operation with colleagues from Western European countries and those of the Middle and Far East,” Belinterexpo added.
