Belarusian draughts players captured five medals at World Championship

Belarusian sportsmen have won five awards at the World Draughts-64 Championship held in the Moscow Region, sb.by reports with reference to the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Sports and Tourism

Igor Mikhalchenko became the world champion in the Rapid game, and Andrei Valyuk took the third place in the same discipline.

Andrei Valyuk won silver in the Blitz game, and Igor Mikhalchenko captured bronze. Maria Taranina won silver in the women's competition.

The world event brought together 80 draughts players from twenty-seven countries.
