Belarus, Vietnam's Dong Nai Province agreed to liaise in industry, science and agriculture

The Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City, Ruslan Varankov, met with the Secretary of the Party Committee of the Dong Nai Province of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Nguyen Hong Linh, as well as the Chairman of the People's Committee, Vo Tan Duc, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Ho Chi Minh City

The parties focused on promising areas for the development of co-operation between Belarus and the Dong Nai Province, primarily in industrial production. They agreed to consider the establishment of twinning relations between the province and one of the industrial centres of Belarus. Joint training for Vietnamese enterprises and scientific co-operation on the basis of specialised Belarusian and Vietnamese universities were discussed as well.

The Belarusian diplomat noted the readiness of Belarusian companies to participate in the implementation of infrastructure projects in the province, including the expansion of the highway network and the construction of Vietnam's largest Long Thanh Airport with an annual passenger traffic of up to 100 million people and transhipment of up to 5 million tonnes of cargo.

The leadership of Dong Nai Province, in turn, expressed hope for deepening contacts between the business circles of the two countries, as well as for the development of co-operation in the field of agriculture.
