Belarus, Tajikistan signed roadmap for 2022-2026 and several other important documents

Following the official talks between presidents of Belarus and Tajikistan, Aleksandr Lukashenko and Emomali Rahmon, a package of bilateral documents was signed in Dushanbe, BelTA reports

The parties signed intergovernmental agreements on co-operation in youth policy and on a system for promoting mutual trade. A roadmap for bilateral co-operation for 2022-2026 was also approved.

An agreement on co-operation in the field of combating corruption was signed by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Belarus and the Agency for State Financial Control and Fight against Corruption of Tajikistan.

The Sports and Tourism Ministry of Belarus and the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of Tajikistan also agreed to develop liaisons in the area of tourism. A co-operative agreement was signed between the National Centre for Marketing and Price Study and the Export Agency under the Government of Tajikistan.

Moreover, the parties approved the regulation on the joint commission on military-technical co-operation and the action plan for the development of trade-economic and humanitarian interaction between the Minsk City Executive Committee and the Executive State Authority of Dushanbe for 2023-2024.

The Mogilev Region has established twinning links with the Spitamen District of the Sughd Region of Tajikistan while the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus have agreed to train personnel in the field of virology, microbiology, molecular biology, epidemiology, biotechnology and pharmacology.

A package of documents was also signed during the Tajik-Belarusian business forum. Belarusian enterprises signed contracts worth over $46m. Moreover, $2m of agreements were reached during online negotiations.
