Belarus’ State Border Committee: acute migration situation on border connected with failure of EU to fulfil its promises
An acute migration situation has developed on the western borders of Belarus due to the failure of the European Union to fulfil its promises – as noted by Chairman of the State Border Committee Konstantin Molostov in his talk with the ONT TV channel
“The difficult migration situation is developing all over the world today, and the Republic of Belarus is no exception. Today, as we remember, the acute migration situation on the western borders stems from the fact that the European Union once offered political asylum, work and other benefits to all migrants. But unfortunately, the opposite is happening now. At the moment, migrants seeking political asylum in the Baltic States and Poland are being forcibly expelled and displaced. Accordingly, the promises that were once made are not being fulfilled,” Konstantin Molostov said.
