Belarus, Serbia discussed expansion of sci-tech co-operation

It is noted that, during the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for the development of Belarusian-Serbian co-operation in the field of science, technology and innovation, noting the importance of such liaisons.
"Belarusian-Serbian co-operation in the scientific and technical sphere is carried out within the framework of the agreement between the governments of the Republic of Belarus and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia on scientific and technical co-operation as of March 6th, 1996. In November 2021, following the results of the 9th meeting of the joint Belarusian-Serbian commission on scientific and technical co-operation, the parties agreed and successfully held a competition for joint sci-tech projects for 2022-2024," the source reported.
It is clarified that the implementation of 12 joint projects in such areas as medicine, computer science, new materials and biotechnology is being completed at the moment.
"We have great potential in these areas, and Serbia's experience is certainly important and interesting to us," Mr. Shlychkov added.
