Belarus Segodnya Editor-in-Chief: absence of internal conflict is main and basic condition for peaceful life in Belarus

In his talk with the ONT TV channel, the Director — Editor-in-Chief of the Belarus Segodnya Publishing House, member of the Council of the Republic Dmitry Zhuk, speculated on what the Belarusian society needs for peaceful life

“The main and basic condition for peaceful life on our land is the absence of internal conflict. Let us have this unity of the people,” Mr. Zhuk said. “The year 2020 showed that we were on the brink, and that was not because we were bad or not. It is the internal conflict that is the main tool of the technology of external intervention.”

Mr. Zhuk added that there is an important and key difference between the situation developing in the 1920s-1940s and the current one. “This is the first time we have been living in a sovereign country for 30 years. We are now well aware of our role in the history of mankind, and this factor is probably the most important and key one. In order to understand the paradigm of historical events and how they develop, simple questions need to be asked: how many wars came to our land from the West and how many from the East? Everything will become clear then, and it is unlikely to be any other way," he concluded.
