Representatives of Belarus and Russia discussed topical issues of co-operation in the gas sector, Energy Ministry reports

On November 1st, a working meeting of Belarus’ Energy Minister Viktor Karankevich and Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller took place on the side-lines of the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.
It is reported that the meeting participants discussed topical issues of bilateral co-operation in the gas sector – focusing, in particular, on the interaction within the framework of the formation of a unified gas market of the Union State. A high technological potential of the Belarusian gas industry organisations – presented at the forum exhibition – was noted.
The St. Petersburg International Gas Forum is one of the most authoritative business events of the gas industry. It annually gathers leading representatives of the world community – attracting about 17 thousand participants and guests from 52 countries this year. The business programme of the forum includes over 80 events.
