Belarus ready to increase supplies of equipment and dairy products to Indonesia
Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Dmitry Krutoi has met with Ambassador of Indonesia to Russia and Belarus concurrently Jose Antonio Morato Tavares – as reported on the website of the Belarusian diplomatic mission
The two sides shared their views on issues of the bilateral agenda, interaction in the UN and regional organisations, as well as current international issues. It is underlined that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Indonesia.
“Dmitry Krutoi and Jose Antonio Morato Tavares expressed the focus of the two countries on more intensive development of collaboration in the political, economic, sci-tech and other fields, confirming their readiness to hold joint events dedicated to this date,” the embassy said.
Dmitry Krutoi noted the expansion of the range of goods in the Belarusian-Indonesian trade in recent years, the countries have advanced in the certification of halal products, standardisation.
“Belarus is ready to increase the export of agricultural, cargo, household appliances, dairy products and, in turn, is interested in further supplies from Indonesia of products that are not manufactured in our country: palm oil, natural rubber, cocoa, coffee, seafood,” the Belarusian Ambassador said during the meeting.
In order to intensify mutual trade and facilitate the exchange of business visits, the parties agreed on joint steps to organise a bilateral business forum with the participation of Belarusian and Indonesian companies in Moscow in May 2023. Dmitry Krutoi invited Jose Antonio Morato Tavares and an Indonesian delegation headed by the Agriculture Minister to visit the Belagro international specialised exhibition, to take place on June 6th-11th.
“During the discussion of the multilateral agenda and international issues, the commitment of Belarus and Indonesia was confirmed to building a fair multipolar world order based on the principles of international law, respect and sovereign equality of states,” the statement reads.
