Belarus’ peat factories opening sales markets in China

Aleksei Kushnarenko, the Director General of Beltopgaz State Production Association of Fuel and Gasification, signed a co-operation agreement with the CEO of Heilongjiang Zhongju International Trade Co. Ltd on the supply of 4,000 tonnes of Belarusian peat products to China until the end of 2024.

“The implementation of the agreements reached is a significant step towards strengthening bilateral mutually beneficial co-operation with our Chinese partners. The company’s interest after its use of a trial batch indicates the high quality of Belarusian peat and its demand in the Chinese market. According to the agreement, the volume of supplies will increase 10 times to 40 thousand tonnes in 2025. In the future, we plan to continue to develop this area, as co-operation with Chinese companies is strategic not only for our enterprises, but also for the Belarusian economy as a whole," Mr. Kushnarenko said.
