Representatives of Belarus’ NOC taking part in ANOC General Assembly in Portugal
The 27th General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) is taking place in Cascais, Portugal, from October 28th-November 2nd, bringing together over 850 delegates from 288 organisations: representatives of national Olympic committees, the International Olympic Committee, international federations, organising committees of the Olympic Games and other interested parties of the Olympic movement, sb.by reports with reference to the NOC press service
The Belarusian delegation is represented by Secretary General, two-time Olympic medallist in rhythmic gymnastics Ksenia Sankovich, as well as Head of the International Relations Department Vasily Yurchik.
At the opening of the event, IOC President Thomas Bach made his last keynote speech as the head of the organisation. ANOC President Robin Mitchell and ANOC Secretary General Gunilla Lindberg also addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.
The agenda of the assembly includes reports from the ANOC Finance and Audit Commission, important topics such as anti-doping, commercial opportunities, sport sponsorship and other issues.
In addition, the 9th ANOK awards ceremony took place as part of the forum.
