Belarus’ NOC President visited freestyle wrestling competitions of 2nd CIS Games
The freestyle wrestling competitions of the 2nd CIS Games have reached their finish line: fights for bronze and gold medals launched in Soligorsk’s Tennis Centre. The President of Belarus’ National Olympic Committee, Viktor Lukashenko, was among those watching the fights.
“The competitions are very good. Many people have come to watch them,” Viktor Lukashenko said.
The NOC President appreciated the organisation of the tournament, the opening ceremony and the exciting fights, “It is no doubt that the struggle is intense and uncompromising. Perhaps the athletes are not so technical yet, but they have everything ahead of them. In general, I would not say that the guys have little experience. They demonstrate a very serious level.”
Viktor Lukashenko also commented on the attitude of guests to the 2nd CIS Games, “We receive only positive reviews – not only here, in Soligorsk. We have already attended several competitions, including the events in rhythmic gymnastics in Minsk and archery in Mogilev. Their organisation and conditions are very good. Everyone also notes the benevolence of Belarusians.”
