Belarus’ NAS Chairman: President greatly supports science in all respects
The President of Belarus supports the national science greatly in all respects, but scientists need to further more actively promote their achievements – as stated by the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences, Vladimir Gusakov, in his talk with the Belarus 1 TV channel
According to Mr. Gusakov, Belarusian scientific achievements are indisputable in all areas – from space to earth.
“We are absolutely no worse than world science in a range of areas. The Institute of Physics is right in front of us. I went there to get acquainted [with development] and was told: ‘There are no analogues in the world. We are the best’. It is so pleasant to hear this! The laser appeared in Belarus after the United States: it was created there, but four years later – in Belarus. A Belarus-made protective equipment is installed on a Japanese satellite launched to Mercury. We still co-operate with many scientists, academies of sciences and global scientific centres – from the US to China. These liaisons do not stop,” the NAS Chairman noted.
