Belarus, Iran keen to expand co-operation in transport sector
Belarus and Iran are interested in developing interaction in the transport sector, as confirmed during a working meeting between Belarus’ Minister of Transport and Communications Aleksei Avramenko and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran to Belarus Saeed Yari – as reported in the Transport Ministry’s press service
The two sides underlined the long-term experience of collaboration, expressing interest in deepening liaisons across various areas in the transport sector.
“Transport and logistics are the most important priorities in the two countries’ joint work. We have enough prospects and opportunities to implement the planned steps to expand co-operation,” the Head of the Transport and Communications Ministry noted.
The parties also paid attention to the issues of abolishing the licensing system for international road transport, intensifying air traffic between the countries, as well as developing transportation using the infrastructure of the international North-South transport corridor.
