Belarus invited Algerian children to recuperation camps in 2025
Belarus invited a group of Algerian children to attend recuperation camps in 2025 – as stated by Belarus’ Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik on April 14th after his talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Ahmed Attaf, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s press service
“As a gesture of goodwill and friendship, we extended an invitation to send a group of Algerian children to recuperation camps in Belarus in 2025,” Sergei Aleinik noted, adding that Belarus and Algeria are connected by a history of strong partnership dating back to the USSR times.
“Our countries were standing shoulder to shoulder, forming relationships based on mutual respect and co-operation. History remembers a native of Minsk, captain Ivan Shcherba, a real hero of the two countries, who lost his sight during an operation to clear the territory of Algeria after the departure of the French colonialists,” the Belarusian diplomat recalled.
