Belarus’ Industry Ministry forecasts 20% growth in passenger cars annual production

The Industry Ministry predicts an increase in the annual production of passenger cars by 20 percent in 2024 – as noted by First Deputy Industry Minister Aleksandr Ogorodnikov. According to him, not so long ago our country did not have the appropriate competencies, but today its own facilities and production have been created.

“In the perspective of three to five years, deeper localisation is envisaged,” Mr. Ogorodnikov noted. “The planned volume of annual production for 2024 will exceed the last year’s result by 20 percent.”

The First Deputy Industry Minister added that the active development of passenger car production enables us to reach a set benchmark for their production.

“Belarus is confidently approaching the development of the created production capacities of 120,000 vehicles per year,” he added.
