Belarus’ Industry Minister: BelGee model range to expand

The model range of the domestic car will expand, and the degree of localisation will increase every year – as noted by Belarus’ Industry Minister Aleksandr Yefimov in his talk with the ONT TV channel

“Geely has already become a Belarusian vehicle. We produce our cars under the BelGee brand. The work on localisation of our own brand continues without interruption. Currently, about 30 suppliers of components for the Belarusian car are in a high status of study. Many of them are already supplying spare parts to the assembly line of the Belarusian enterprise,” the Industry Minister noted.

According to Mr. Yefimov, the model range of the domestic car will expand, and the degree of localisation will increase every year.

“Today it is wrong to say that this is not our car yet. It’s already ours. These are our rights to the design of the vehicle, to the possibility of attracting partners to create a component base, i.e., we are already managing all the processes in the domestic automotive industry,” the official added.
