Belarus’ General Staff representative reasoned on what Asia-Pacific region might be faced in the future
The situation in the Asia-Pacific region is quite tense at present, and Andrei Bogodel, the Deputy Head of the Department for Educational and Scientific Work – Head of the Educational and Methodology Department of the Faculty of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Military Academy of Belarus, believes that problems in relations between some of its countries will aggravate in the future

In his talk with SB TV, Mr. Bogodel stated, “I think very serious problems will arise in North and South Korea in the near future, and this is already well visible. In addition, the Taiwan problem is gaining momentum.”
Actually, the United States is constantly trying to bring instability to the Asia-Pacific region. In this regard, the military official recalled that Chinese President Xi Jinping visited San Francisco in November to take part in the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation Summit, and he also held face-to-face talks with Joe Biden. “The result of Xi Jinping's trip to America was based on two agreements concerning synthetic drugs and whether three pandas should be left or not. As you can understand, this is not the level of such negotiations. This suggests that no agreements were reached between China and the United States," Mr. Bogodel noted.
According to the expert, all the key points are related to the 20th Congress of the Communist Party of China held in October 2022, “All the key moments occurred a year ago in China, after the 20th Congress of the Communist Party of the People's Republic of China. The western vector was seriously changed to the eastern one, and this refers also to the relations with Russia and other states, including the much-talked-about Global South. China understands perfectly well that its time is yet to come.”
