"We perceive with great concern and pain the events taking place in recent days in the Kursk Region of the Russian Federation. We strongly condemn the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces who have embarked on this senseless adventure, which is exacerbating the conflict in our region," the statement reads.
"Attacks on civilians, peaceful villages and towns, targeted damage to infrastructure, acts of terror are unacceptable to us. All these actions are being taken by the Ukrainian side against the background of statements by its political leadership about its readiness for negotiations. In fact, such attacks and escalation only delay the prospects for their resumption and the end of the conflict, which the Belarusian side always calls for," the Foreign Ministry stressed.
The Belarusian Foreign Ministry expressed support and solidarity with the residents of the Kursk Region. "We express our condolences to the families and friends of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the injured," the statement said.
