Belarus’ FM: illegal unilateral restrictive measures of US, EU violate international law and UN Charter
About forty countries, where two and a half billion people live, face illegal unilateral restrictive measures now imposed by the United States and the European Union – as stated by Belarus’ Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov in his speech at the 79th session of the UN General Assembly

“Moreover, many people have been living in such conditions for decades, and freedom-loving Cuba – for more than half a century. This tool grossly violates entire sections of international law and the UN Charter. It illegally slows down sustainable development, undermines food and energy security, restricts access to world markets, and violates the right to freedom of movement. It also boomerangs at ordinary people in the initiator countries. We see how residents of the EU states that neighbour Belarus complain about constantly rising energy and food prices, as well as social upheavals," Belarus’ Foreign Minister stressed.
