Belarus’ First Deputy Foreign Minister held meetings with diplomats and officials of Iran

Belarus’ First Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Lukashevich and Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Majid Takht-Ravanchi held the seventh round of political consultations between the foreign ministries, sb.by reports with reference to Belarus’ Foreign Ministry

The parties discussed the state and prospects of relations, elaborated on the development of mechanisms to deepen mutually beneficial co-operation in the trade and economic sphere, and exchanged views on issues on the global agenda. They also discussed the situation in Ukraine, Syria and Afghanistan.

Sergei Lukashevich also met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and the diplomats discussed topical issues of co-operation between the foreign ministries, the schedule of visits at the highest levels. There was also an exchange of views on promising areas of joint work within the framework of international organisations.

At a meeting with Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran Mohammad Ali Dehghan Dehnavi, the issues on the agenda of the seventeenth meeting of the joint Belarusian-Iranian commission on economic co-operation, scheduled to be held in January 2025 in Minsk, were discussed.
