Belarus’ First Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister: we need to increase trade turnover with S. Sudan
At a meeting with representatives of South Sudan, Belarus’ First Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Sergei Fedchenko expressed wish that trade turnover with this country would increase significantly
“I hope our meeting will give additional impetus to our co-operation,” the First Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister underlined.
In his turn, South Sudan’s Minister of Investment Dhieu Mathok Diing expressed confidence that bilateral trade turnover will grow.
“South Sudan is geographically located in the centre of Africa, bordering six countries and being a kind of gateway to the continent,” he added. “In this way, we provide access to a regional market with over 500 million people. We look forward to introducing you both to the South Sudanese market and the entire African market. We’d like to continue coming to Belarus and invite you on a return visit to South Sudan.”
The purpose of the South Sudanese delegation’s visit to Belarus is to establish relations across various areas. The delegation comprises of leadership and representatives of the ministries of investment, agriculture, health, other departments of South Sudan, as well as the business community.
There’re plans to visit some enterprises, including Belmedpreparaty, MAZ, MTZ and Amkodor within a couple of days.
