Belarus’ exports of environmental tourism services reached $2.6m in 2023

Ecological tours are contributing much to Belarus’ tourism sector – as stated by Irina Voronovich, Director of the Department of Tourism at the Sports and Tourism Ministry

“In 2023, exports of environmental tourism services amounted to $2.6m, with a growth rate of more than 130 percent. In January-May 2024, they grew by almost half compared to last year,” Ms. Voronovich said.

As noted by the official, much attention is now being paid to the development of new routes, technological and methodological recommendations, manuals to help guides so that a large flow of tourists does not harm nature.
